Can I come alone?
Yes. Many people attend Studio125 events alone. Some events are primarily social, while others are more partner-focused or activity-specific. The listing will usually make that distinction clear. Coming alone does not guarantee that you will find a play partner, but you are welcome to socialize, make connections, and negotiate with interested attendees.
Do I have to play?
No. Attending does not require you to participate in play unless an event is specifically structured around guided participation. Can I negotiate pickup play at events?
Yes, at many Studio125 events. Pickup play is play negotiated between people who may not have an established play relationship. No one is guaranteed access to another person’s: • Body. • Time. • Attention. • Energy. • Submission. • Dominance. • Skills. • Equipment. All play must be directly discussed and agreed upon by the people involved.
Are Studio125 events sex parties?
Not all of them. Some events allow erotic or sexual activity. Some do not. Others permit sexual activity only within negotiated scenes or designated areas. Studio125 hosts different types of gatherings, including: • Play parties. • Classes and demonstrations. • Social events. • Identity-centered gatherings. • Bondage and impact events. • Erotic and sexual-play events. • Private and hosted community events. Never assume sexual activity is permitted simply because an event takes place in a kink space. Read the individual event listing for its specific rules.
Can I attend only to watch?
That depends on the event. Observation may be welcomed during open play, demonstrations, or classes, but watching should still be done respectfully. Do not: • Stand uncomfortably close to a scene. • Interrupt the participants. • Comment on someone's play without invitation. • Photograph or record. • Treat participants as entertainment without regard for their privacy. When uncertain, ask the host or a Dungeon Monitor where observation is appropriate.
Will someone teach me how to use the equipment?
Staff may explain how shared furniture or basic equipment operates, but event admission does not automatically include personal instruction. Do not use equipment or toys you do not understand. Classes, demonstrations, and guided practice opportunities will be identified in the event listing.
Are play partners provided?
No. Studio125 does not assign, provide, or guarantee play partners. Guests are responsible for making their own connections and directly negotiating any interaction.
Does attending mean everyone there has been vetted?
No. Studio125 does not currently conduct a formal interview or application process for general event admission. Attendance should not be treated as: • A character reference. • An endorsement. • Proof that someone is safe for you. • A guarantee of someone's experience. • Permission to ignore your own judgment. Studio125 staff and event hosts observe conduct, respond to reports, and may remove or prohibit people whose behavior does not meet our standards. You remain responsible for your own discernment, communication, and negotiation.
What should I do when I have a concern?
Speak with: • The event host. • Studio125 staff. • A Dungeon Monitor. • A designated facilitator. Report urgent concerns as soon as possible. Provide clear information about: • What happened. • Who was involved. • Where it occurred. • Whether immediate assistance is needed. If you need time to process before bringing something to someone's attention, that is fine. Please bring it to our attention as soon as possible so we can address the issue sooner rather than later.
